Nothing better than a cheap getaway by the sea.
Lucky for us in Lincolnshire we have the luxury of having Skegness on our doorstep, which offers great value for money.
With that in mind, Lincolnshire Live took a look at some of the cheapest stays you can book for this summer based on two adults sharing a night on a weekend in August.

Sherwood Lodge
The Sherwood Lodge on Drummond Road is just 300 meters from Skegness Beach.
A room here, booked through Booking.com, will cost you £ 75.
The double room on the first floor has a private bathroom and a fridge.
Breakfast is also included in the price if you book here.

Chatsworth Hotel
The Chatsworth Hotel on North Parade also met our expectations this summer.
A room here will set you back £ 82 for the night.
When you book through Hotels.com, you will get an ‘en-suite room’ with a queen-size bed.
The bedroom is also equipped with free toiletries, a hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities.

The leisure hotel
This hotel on Drummond Road is a short walk from Skegness Aquarium.
Prices at Expedia for a room start at £ 90 per night.
For this, you will benefit from a ‘luxury double room’ which has its own bathroom.
The bedroom is also equipped with free toiletries, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, and an iron and ironing board.

Lyndène apartments
Located on Ida Road, Lyndene Apartments offer a larger bedroom than our previous hotels.
However, that comes at a price, with a stay costing £ 110 through Hotels.com.
At this price, you get a ‘classic studio, en-suite’.
This includes, in addition to everything you would expect from a hotel room, a kitchenette equipped with a fridge, hob, oven and microwave.
