STAYING indoors has become the new way out.
But doing it in a hotel is expensive, with prices ranging from an average of £ 94 per night in Aberdeen to £ 220 in London.
However, you can still enjoy a luxury break on a budget – so go to bed with these deals. . .
TAKE A FIFTH: Jurys Inn and Leonardo Hotels are offering a 20% discount on two night stays in any UK city, including the 4H Midland Hotel in Manchester.
Guests can cancel free of charge until 2:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. The discount is automatically applied to any two-night stay on flexible rate bookings.
PARK YOUR WALLET: Park Plaza hotels (part of the Radisson group) have an excellent Ready Steady Go offer, which offers up to 35% off your stay. You don’t pay until you leave, and the kids stay and eat for free. There is also a Dine and Dream offer, offering 25% off dinner, room and breakfast, if you fancy a break without the little ones.
FIRST LEAGUE: Take a look at premierinn.com, as the group often has some hidden deals. I have found hotel rooms for as little as £ 35 a night, even with half board. When I asked Premier Inn insiders for advice, they told me that December was a good time to book shore excursions for next year and save huge amounts of money.
STAMP ‘N’ SAVE: Book through hotels.com to take advantage of its excellent loyalty program. Book nine nights, get nine stamps, and you get a free âreward nightâ based on the average value of your previous spending. Just make sure you are enrolled in the program.
You can also earn points by booking for friends and family, which entitles you to everything from free room upgrades to secret member prices. Go through a cashback site for additional savings.
CHEAP CHOICE: Want to find some really good deals? My favorite sites to use are travelzoo.com, secretescapes.com, voyage-prive.co.uk and wowcher.co.uk. Sign up for their newsletters to get the best hotel deals first.
