Hotels, restaurants and conference center en route in Grand Prairie mixed-use project

A Grand Prairie mixed-use project is gaining momentum with the construction of two new hotels, a conference center and restaurants.

The 170-acre EpicCentral development sits off State Highway 161 at Arkansas Lane.

Merriman Anderson Architects of Dallas designed the new phase of EpicCentral with two new hotels, the conference and meeting room, and six restaurants.

Concord Hospitality of Raleigh, NC, will operate both hotels – a Hilton Garden Inn and a Homewood Suites. The new properties are expected to be delivered in 2023.

“The new hotels integrate and complement the design of the existing buildings on the EpicCentral campus and will create a unique space that will add to the overall development of entertainment,” said Adam Jones of Merriman Anderson in a statement. “Visitors to existing entertainment venues on campus will have the option of spending the night or strolling around for a meal while enjoying all that EpicCentral has to offer, making it a unique destination. “

The Hilton Garden Inn will have 129 rooms. The Homewood Suites hotel has 147 rooms.

The conference center includes a 10,000 square foot ballroom.

The EpicCentral development includes the Epic Waters Water Park, a 120,000 square foot fitness, art and entertainment center, as well as a variety of other community recreation facilities.
