Praised for its innovative Tex-Lex cuisine, TRIBUTE kicks off fall with several new menu items.

Praised for its innovative Tex-Lex cuisine, TRIBUTE kicks off fall with several new menu items. The new offerings showcase the fusion of flavors from Texas, Louisiana and Mexico in dishes such as Braised Lamb Shank, Recado Negro, and Poblano Mac and Cheese.

TRIBUTE’s team of chefs, led by Executive Chef Neal Cox, work in tandem to showcase the flavors of their regional origins and constantly innovate to keep restaurant menus relevant and delicious seasonally.

“We like to change multiple dishes on the menu each quarter to use the freshest ingredients available,” Cox explains. “Whether the dish stems from the childhood of sous chef Juan Tuch in Mexico or the in-depth knowledge of Louisiana flavors by chef Jeff Boudreaux, we make sure the flavors are authentic and elevated.”

Houstonian sommelier Dat Le also curated a selection of wines and cocktails to complement the new menu items. The fall menu also features several dessert options complementing a delicious dining experience.

Located on the first floor of the Houstonian Hotel, TRIBUTE is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. The popular destination for cocktails and dining has a refined atmosphere complemented by the majestic grandeur of Texas for which the Houstonian is known. The restaurant offers spacious seating areas, a private dining experience in its wine room and several spaces for parties or celebrations.

New items on the TRIBUTE lunch menu include:

Shrimp cake served with hibiscus escabeche, cream and salsa roja.
Grenobloise of wild salmon served with mirliton puree, caper butter and tomato croutons.
All-natural oak grilled chicken, served with guajillo, lime, grilled tomatillo salsa and avocado.
Texas Striped Bass Almondine served with hazelnut butter hollandaise sauce, toasted Gulf crab almonds, green beans and lemon.

New items on the HOMMAGE dinner menu include:

Recado Negro braised lamb shank served with 48 stone-ground groats, sundried tomatoes and pickled onions.
Shrimp cake served with hibiscus escabeche, cream and salsa roja.
Gulf Frutti De Mer is served with 42 orzo pasta, squid, shrimp, rockfish, mussels and caldo de pescado.
Grenobloise of wild salmon served with mirliton puree, caper butter and tomato croutons.
All natural oak grilled chicken, served with guajillo, lime, grilled tomatillo salsa and avocado.
